Necro Raptor Farm in HM
Does anyone have a Necro build capable of farming raptors in Hard Mode? I've used this build ----> http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Any/W_Raptor_Farmer with Withering Aura for weakness, but i cant seem to do it in Hard Mode
Thanks for any input ahead of time.

I've managed it with 600/smite on my nec. basic smiter build and then standar 600 monk bar, but on a nec ^^ kinda like the Any/Mo CoF run. But it's slow, and not worth it. They scatter too much and can interrupt prot spirit and spirit bond even though they are 1/4 sec cast. Often, smiter gets killed too...
I play nec as main, and i took my ele there just to farm these raptors, and, bh, it was worth it, but that was months ago. I still find it kinda hard after Flame Dijjn nerf.

Ya I use my Ele to but I don't even use a running skill, I just split the cave in 2 sides and can still do it in less then 2 mins. I don't think the running skill is that important. I know it lets you gather them all up at once but still doing it in 2 sections is not that bad. (IMO)
@OP, I have had no luck as well with the Necro, without Mantra to stop them from interrupting it is awful hard.

Thats how I thought everyone did the raptor run split it up in to 2 parts and leave the boss group till last, you dont even need the runnin skill to agro them all anyway.

HM Raptors suck on a necro - i've been trying to find a foolproof way of farming them, and i think i've come pretty close. just need to try a few more replacement skills and a couple different casting orders, but i think i have one that can reliably kill everything but the boss and his group. the second i get it working on a reliable basis, i'll post it - it involves bodyblocking them while you troll the group with Death nukes, and live with Shadowform. only downside is it will require a decent asura rank and careful skill usage, but i'm positive it can be done.

no way, you are close to get a solo necro farm build for raptors in hm? i would owe you something big xD since my farming chars got 2 times of the ep as my main char necro does ^^

When designing a raptor HM build I can only suggest you to check this thread for ideas.
I'd suggest (for damage dealing) Radiation Field, Light of Deldrimor + random Necro Damage skill - IF using the Shadowform concept that is.

got one!
12+1+3 Death, 12 Shadow Arts, rest in SR
a small warning: i did this at rank 6 asura and r9 Sunspear. it's quite possible that you can't do this farm with low ranks in either - i'll try to make a title-independent build, but this is the only one that has worked at all so far.
[skill]Rising Bile[/skill][skill]Putrid Explosion[/skill][skill]Deadly Paradox[/skill][skill]Shadow Form[/skill]
you need to aggro them (run around picking up groups with Mindbender, use Paradox right before SF) so that they get stuck on this rock:
Links are the best way to post pics.
avoid the boss group, and then get shadow form up. then run through your nukes, and Putrid Explosion away. you need to start casting IMMEDIATELY after getting SF up - the yellow bar under Shadow Form is the only time you have to kill them. there might be one that scatters to safety, just necrosis him.
it does take a bit of practice and a bit of title, but it works in HM, which makes me happy.

Not me.......i dont bring a running skill either. I just run from the entrance, aggroing the 2 large patrols, then run to the other exit of the cave to aggro the stragglers, then i run to the boss's group (with about 25 angry raptors in tow) and pwn every last one.

Not that it matters but I do the boss first. Then I can grab a couple of stragglers at the bottom of the map and bring them with me to the other side as I get all the others.
Its all good as long as it gets the job done
@Fuzzy Taco
I just knew my Necro build hero would show up sooner or later

What would you think of this?
[skill]Rising Bile[/skill][skill]well of suffering[/skill][skill]Putrid Explosion[/skill][skill]Deadly Paradox[/skill][skill]Shadow Form[/skill]
1. I swapped Radiation Field for Well of Suffering, gives higher health degen for extended periods of time and costs less energy, lower recharge.
2. I swapped Mind Bender for Air of Superiority. I figure with the amount of Raptors dieing, changes are you SHOULD be able to get a skill recharge with it, increasing your margin for error.
I do have the skills and rank and itching to try the original with my necro, however, what do you think of the changes and comments I've made?

As stated, you dont necessarily NEED a running skill. Mind Bender from Fuzzy Taco's build does act as one though.
I believe the this actual build relies on you focusing on a single target with fast recharging spells as necrosis, as the AOE hexes you've cast degen and deal large AOE damage upon expiration or target's death, at which point you deal additional damage from the corpse. Also, targets being lvl 14 Assassins, they just dont have that much health.

Zodiak: unfortunately, your build won't work. Well of Suffering can't replace Radiation Field, as it requires a corpse, which you don't have enough time to create individually. also, you absolutely need a running skill of sorts - otherwise, you'll be long dead before you can group them.
@ Abonai - he was running a basic SB/Smite bonder with Signet of Devotion. that run was VERY fun.
EDIT: just looked at your response to Sabio - we're talking about HM, right? NM Raptors are easy.
